Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you visit The Women’s Centers. You are welcome to bring your partner, a family member, or a close friend if you wish.

All of our services are completely confidential and provided at no cost. You do not need to bring proof of insurance, but we ask that you bring an ID (a school ID or a driver’s license).

Experts recommend you wait until the first day or two after your missed period before taking a pregnancy test. Your body needs time for the pregnancy hormone (hCG) to build to detectable levels in your urine or blood.

The Women’s Centers do not perform or refer for abortion.

A limited obstetrical ultrasound reveals vital information about your pregnancy. You’ll get the following information:

  • Is the pregnancy developing, or have you miscarried?
  • How far along are you in the pregnancy?
  • Is the pregnancy located safely in your uterus?

The answers to these questions could determine your next steps.

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are very common. Millions of cases are discovered every year. If you are sexually active, the CDC recommends getting tested every year to protect your sexual health. Talk with us about STD testing and treatment.
